NZMPIC CONFERENCE 2025

A big thank you to all delegates who attended the 2025 conference, held Tuesday, 22 July – Wednesday, 23 July 2025 at Hoyts Sylvia Park. The NZMPIC Conference is an invite only film industry event that showcases up-coming film releases, whilst providing important networking opportunities for film distributors, cinema exhibitors, filmmakers and industry suppliers. NZMPIC continues to be the biggest event in the NZ film industry calendar.

Despite the past 12 months having been a challenge for the broader industry with a dearth of blockbuster releases, the tide is turning slowly as we see some terrific box office results being achieved recently, such as MOANA 2, A MINECRAFT MOVIE, and of course our local New Zealand film, TINA.

We had a near record number of distributor presentations this year and we thank them for all their efforts in bringing to us the very best and very latest upcoming content.

Future events

The board of NZMPIC has decided that at this point in time, this will be a bi-annual conference going forward, with the next full conference event now planned for 2027. More details will be released closer to the event.
